The fair board meets at 7p.m. the 3rd tuesday of every month at the Commisioners office at the County building on M-72, The public is always welcome to attend!
Fair Location
The Alcona County Fair is located at the Alcona Recreation Area (A.R.A. Site) in Lincoln,Michigan on Barlow rd. 2 miles north of M-72.
The grounds are county owned and used by many organizations,without them we as one could not make the site as special as it is and keep its natural beauty at the same time.

Well with the 2009 Fair over all in all we had somewhat of a good week, Another Tractor pull got washed out which was a big disapointment. so now that 2009 is behind us we will focus on 2010.
Thank you to all the volunteers who helped throughout the week your hard work is very much appreciated.

The fair schedule is now pretty much set in stone, This year the fair industry has been hit hard with the loss of all state funding to the harness racing industry, State fairs and County fairs.
With the loss of funding for premiums has forced the fair board to make the crucial decision to withhold premiums and registration fees from this years 2009 Fair.
On a better note the band liquid Cooled will perform during and after the Miss Alcona County Fair Pagent.
The 2009 Alcona County Fair has been dedicated to Jim & Darlene Grace , Thank you for your continued help & suppport of the fair.

The Fair Board is in full swing getting ready for the 2009 Alcona County Fair. Back with us for 2009 is Miss & Jr Miss Alcona County Fair program,Draft Horse Pull, Bump-n-Run,Motocross by Dirt Inc.,Thumb area Truck & Tractor Pulls and Schmidt Amusements.
New for 2009 is My Adventure Theater, Which is a Family Interactive Theater. For more information go to
www.myadventuretheater.com .Also new to 2009 is the Alcona County Fair Guitar Hero Compitition, which will be held on Wednesday, For more info on this see Les Thomas at the MSU extention office.
On Thursday Night the stage will come alive with "The Joel Choates Band". This Band out of Alpena, Mi. is a Variety of Classic Rock,Blues & Country and are the answer for a real good time.
On Saturday morning before watching the live action of Motocross by Dirt Inc. You can enjoy a Pancake Breakfast By the Alcona FFA Alumni.
